About
The group mission of this Theme House would be getting the campus community more involved in Latin American and Hispanic culture, through different events and programs that we will be organizing.
Not only will this serve for the purpose of opening the eyes to many students at a larger global perspective, but will also spark the interest for students who are deciding to get involved with Latin American studies along side, the Spanish and/or Portuguese language.
Another purpose of this theme house would be to boost the beauty of Latin American countries and show people the great things that we have to offer.
Finally, our main goals for the entirety of our first year would be: 1.) To provide a “home away from home” for not only the Hispanics and Latinos attending college, but for all students on campus who need an interesting and welcoming environment. 2.) Offer a space where people could talk and discuss the current issues affecting various Latin American and Hispanic countries. 3.) Arrange a Hispanic and Latino atmosphere where the Wheaton community can relax from the academic world as they get immersed into the Latino lifestyle.
